Job Description - Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Adelphi is seeking Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVNs) to perform advanced vocational nursing services at a facility in Lubbock County, Texas. The ideal LVN will provide treatment, support, and general welfare services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and complex medical, mental health, and behavioral needs.

• Rate: $33–$36/hr

Requirements:

• Must hold a current and unencumbered LVN license issued in the State of Texas

• At least 1 year of nursing experience required; 2+ years preferred in long-term or developmental care.

• Valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)

• Must meet all immunization requirements as outlined by the agency and facility

• Must successfully pass a urine drug screen and background check

• Must successfully complete an FBI fingerprint background check

• COVID-19 testing with a negative result is required

• Completion of all pre-employment training mandated by the agency and facility

• Must present a valid photo ID at the time of interview

• Must provide TB documentation at the time of interview

Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines

• Monitor patients’ health and promptly report changes to the supervising RN or physician

• Document care activities accurately and complete computer-based data entry (training provided)

• Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory standards (e.g., ICF-IDD, facility SOPs)

• Deliver compassionate, person-centered care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
