Line Cook/ Prep Cook
Tacoma Country and Golf Club (TCGC) is seeking to add a talented, dedicated line/prep cook to our team. We are looking for someone who is hardworking, experienced, and dependable. The line/prep cook position is integral in ensuring smooth service to our membership.
We want you to join our team! At TCGC, we offer an exceptional work atmosphere that will allow you to expand your cooking skills and create lasting relationships. At TCGC, the average tenure for kitchen employees is over 10 years. We offer the tools needed to advance in your career.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Setting up and breaking down cook station properly for each shift
· Prepare all food items in a timely manner while coordinating with other stations (Grilling, frying, sauteing, as well as other methods)
· Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications.
· Restock, clean, maintain cook station items as needed throughout the shift.
· Assist with the cleaning, sanitation and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.
· Adhere to proper food storage procedures compliant with the health department (Food Handler’s Card Required)
Job qualifications/skills:
· Basic written and verbal communication
· Organizational skills
· Accuracy and speed in cooking tasks
· Ability to work well in a team and under pressure
· Understanding of different cooking methods
Education and Experience Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred
· 2+ years of experience as a prep cook or line cook
Pay & Benefits:
Pay: $21.00-25.00 depending on experience
