Live Crab Handler - Seasonal

Summary: 

As a Live Crab Handler, you are responsible for assisting in all aspects of preparing crab for live shipping.

Key Responsibilities:

• Unload live crab.
• Inspect live crab and sort for size and quality.
• Handle live crab in various capacities such as receiving, unloading, banding, transferring and moving.
• Weigh the product at various stages of the production process.
• Assist in the packaging process from loading conveyor to packing boxes to strapping, labelling, palletizing and wrapping.
• Support and participate in preparatory activities such as box making, brine tank charging, minor repairs and adjustments, clean up.
• Follow health and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties, as assigned. 

What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:

• Previous experience with the utilization of food processing equipment, sanitation and food safety, and the safe operation of forklifts and powered pallet jacks.

• The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services, general laborer, etc.) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.e., security guard, inspection, etc.)

Pay Range: $ 18.00 per Hour
