Job Summary:
This CRNA assignment is a sixteen -week contract with an estimated privileging timeframe of twenty days. The position involves general and orthopedic cases and is not open to candidates who need to obtain a new state license.
The schedule consists of eight -hour shifts with required regular hours from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There are no in -house, weeknight, or weekend call responsibilities, and overtime is not expected.
The facility utilizes the iPro charting system and operates twenty anesthesia rooms. CRNAs work under physician supervision with a four -to -one CRNA -to -MD ratio. Physicians do not perform their own cases.
Responsibilities include completing pre -anesthesia assessments, verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks with patients, managing induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring patients’ physiological status, and performing clinical interventions when necessary.
Candidates must hold a current registered nurse license, have graduated from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and be certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
Requirements
â Current certification as a CRNA by the National
Board on Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
â Valid, unrestricted RN and CRNA
licenses in Virginia
â Minimum of 1–3 years of
CRNA experience preferred; proficiency in General and Ortho cases
â Strong clinical knowledge and ability to
provide anesthesia care to diverse patient populations
â Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills to work effectively with patients, families, and the care
team
â BLS and ACLS required; PALS and
other advanced certifications as applicable
