Logistics Specialist

Position Summary

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and improving the flow of materials, goods, and information throughout the supply chain. This role ensures on-time delivery, accurate inventory levels, and efficient transportation, while supporting cross-functional teams to meet operational and customer requirements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end logistics activities including shipping, receiving, transportation, and distribution.
• Monitor inbound and outbound schedules to prevent delays and resolve operational bottlenecks.

• Track inventory levels, reconcile discrepancies, and support cycle counts.
• Partner with warehouse and not-for-profit teams to maintain accurate stock levels and support timely replenishment.
• Assist in implementing inventory control procedures to reduce waste and improve accuracy.

• Prepare and maintain shipping documents, invoices, and related records.
• Maintain accurate data in logistics systems, inventory platforms, and tracking tools.

• Communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective transport.
• Resolve delivery issues or discrepancies with vendors and carriers.

• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Competencies

• 2–4 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, distribution, or related field.
• Proficiency with logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control principles.

• Ability to lift up to 25–40 lbs as needed.
• May require occasional overtime or support during peak operational periods.
• Work environment may include office, warehouse, or production floor settings.
