LPN Adjunct Clinical Instructor Description

South College Pittsburgh Campus is conducting a search for the position of adjunct clinical instructor teaching clinical/ lab for the School of Nursing LPN program. This is an evenings and weekends program. Labs are in the evening during the week and clinicals are typically on the weekend.

Clinical sites include the hospital setting, long term care facilities, rehab centers, mental health hospitals, and other various locations.

 This position is Adjunct, on ground with the need for availability on evenings and weekends.  

Responsibilities:

• Maintain professional standards of practice in teaching in the clinical settings.
• Collaborate with course faculty and works closely with clinical coordinator.
• Facilitate effective learning and critical thinking/reasoning during clinical while fostering a positive learning environment.
• Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with clinical agencies.
• Monitors student progress with evaluations and grades care plans as assigned. Provides positive and constructive feedback if needed.

Education

• Must hold a minimum of BSN degree in Nursing

Experience

• Hold an unrestricted license to practice in Pennsylvania
