Medical Billing Contractor

We are seeking an experienced Medical Billing Contractor to join Consciousabraxas Enterprise, Corp, a healthcare organization specializing in mental health and substance abuse services. This is a contract role with flexible hours, focused on ensuring accurate and timely billing for telehealth services.

Responsibilities:

• Manage claim submissions through Jane’s App (EHR & billing system).
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits (Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial plans).
• Process payments, post remittances, and reconcile accounts.
• Follow up on denied or unpaid claims and resubmit as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and payer requirements.
• Provide monthly billing reports to leadership.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in medical billing, preferably in mental health or substance abuse.
• Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance billing.
• Familiarity with EHR systems (experience with Jane App a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Contract Details:

• Hourly rate: $20 – $25 depending on experience
• Remote work, flexible schedule
• Approx. 10–20 hours/week (may increase with client growth)
