The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive laboratory services and perform a broad range of diagnostic tests and procedures across multiple laboratory disciplines in compliance with established policies and regulations.

Requirements:
• Active unrestricted license in any U.S. state or territory
• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from a NAACLS-accredited program
• Certification from ASCP or AMT
• BLS (AHA)
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience within the last three years
Responsibilities:
• Perform automated and manual tests in chemistry, urinalysis, hematology, serology, bacteriology, and immunohematology.
• Evaluate specimen suitability; request replacements as needed.
• Conduct and monitor test procedures using lab instruments and manual techniques.
• Identify equipment malfunctions and perform corrective actions.
• Perform quality control, calibration, and maintenance of lab instruments.
• Analyze test results and correlate findings with clinical data.
• Communicate critical results to physicians.
• Enter and verify laboratory data in the VA information system.
• Support specimen collection and provide clerical/administrative support as needed.
• Maintain effective communication and customer service with patients and staff.
• Any other duties as assigned.
