Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking multiple Psychiatric Registered Nurses for travel/contract positions in Grand Rapids, MI. Accepting both local and traveler candidates.

Position Details:

Position Name: Travel Registered Nurse Psychiatric

Contract Length: 13 weeks 

Pay Rate: Range $2160 to $2232 Weekly Gross Pay based on a 36-hour work week (Includes Non-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)

Unit: Inpatient mental health or behavioral health unit/s 

Shifts available: Nights

Schedule: 36 hours/week guaranteed, three shifts per week;  Mon-Fri set schedule rotating every two weeks

Position Requirements:

• Registered Nurse: 2 years - Required
  


• Recent/Current Inpatient Acute Psychiatric Nursing or Behavioral health experience: 2 years – Required
  

Education, License, and Certification Requirements:

• ASN or an equivalent – Required
  


• BSN or an equivalent – Highly preferred
  


• RN License for State of Michigan  - Required
  


• CPI Certification - Preferred
  


• BLS Certification from AHA or American Red Cross - Required
  

Job Description:

• Provide all aspects of Psychiatric nursing care in the assigned units.
  


• Utilizing the nursing process, the RN develops an initial nursing treatment plan for each admitted patient.
  


• Competent in assessing, planning, and delivering care for patients with co-occurring disorders, eating disorders, and trauma backgrounds.
  


• Directs and participates with other personnel in maintaining a safe and therapeutic milieu.
  


• Assists with discharge planning and works with patient at time of discharge.
  


• Provides leadership to other personnel in crisis behavioral management.
  


• Accurately and timely completes the Patient documentation.
