Pay Rate: Range $2000 to $2120 weekly Gross pay based on a 40\-hour work week (Includes non\-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)
Unit: Inpatient mental health or behavioral health unit/s
Shifts available: Afternoons, Nights
Shift timings: 8 Hours; Afternoons, 3.00 pm to 11.30 pm or 12\-hr Nights, 7.00 pm \- 7.30 am
Schedule: Afternoons: 40 hours/week guaranteed, 5 shifts per week, Every other weekend | 48 hrs/week or 36 hrs/week \- available
Position Requirements:
- Registered Nurse: 2 years \- Required
- Recent/Current IPsychiatric Nursing or Behavioral health experience in a psych setting: 2 years â Required
- Prior travel experience \- Preferred
Education, License and Certification Requirements:
- ASN or an equivalent â Required
- BSN or an equivalent â Highly preferred
- RN License for State of MI \- Required
- BLS Certification from AHA or American Red Cross \- Required
Job Description:
- Provide all aspects of BH nursing for patients in the assigned units
- Assesses personâs served care needs, develops a plan of care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, and continually reassesses plan of care according to personâs served care needs.
- In collaboration with the physician, provides/coordinates nursing care to individuals and groups of personâs served.
- Assists in the teaching of personsâ served families, and provides milieu management.
- Communicates with and educates personsâ served families/significant others in discharge/after care planning needs.
- Provides a safe and secure environment for persons served and staff in both individual and group settings.
- Responsible for documenting, reporting, and verifying all necessary information according to established policies and procedures.
- Responsible to monitor for and report to the physician(s) any potential risk to personâs served safety that could lead to an adverse outcome.
- Functions as a clinical leader, delegating/coordinating staff assignments and promoting staff development.
- May be responsible in training direct care staff.
- Performs other duties or functions as assigned.
- May function as a charge nurse.
