Occupational Health Nurse

Interim Healthcare of Raleigh, North Carolina is looking for an Occupational Health Nurse for Duke Energy Clinic at Shearon Harris Nuclear Plant!

Clinic Available Schedules:

• 
  10/13, 10/14, 10/15, 10/16, 10/17  and the 10/28, 10/29 (6pm-6am)
  

Responsibilities:

• Administer first aid for work-related injuries and illnesses, manage initial assessment and follow-up treatment. 


• Manage employee health cases from injury/illness onset to recovery, including documenting treatment, referring off-site for medical care, and notifying appropriate personnel. 


• Serve as a resource for employees regarding personal health issues, providing counseling, wellness information, and referrals to external health agencies or the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). 


• Maintain confidential employee medical records, including examinations, tests, and treatments, ensuring compliance with regulations like HIPPA.


• Perform physical exams and maintain records for regulatory compliance, working within OSHA requirements to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. 


• Work with other members of the occupational health team, including industrial hygienists and safety engineers, to address health and safety needs. 

Requirements:

• A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is typically required. 


• Experience working in an occupational health setting is essential. 


• A thorough understanding of OSHA requirements is crucial, along with the ability to make sound medical decisions based on these regulations. 


• Experience with computers, email, and Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel) is necessary.
