Requirements:
• Copy of State of NM Board of Occupational Therapy License to practice as a Licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Copy of New Mexico Public Education Department licensure for Occupational Therapy.
• Medicaid Provider number
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
• Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in an educational setting or with school-aged children is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of child development, sensory integration, and the impact of motor skills on academic success.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and the broader educational team.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct evaluations and provide direct and indirect services for eligible assigned students including a written report.
• Provide data and progress for goals/objectives
• Provide Therapeutic services under their licensure to students in member districts.
• Perform therapy evaluations as allowed under the appropriately licensed discipline,
• Participate in the development of and attend the Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings.
• Deliver services in accordance with the frequency and intensity indicated on the IEP.
• Complete Occupation Therapy assessments and write reports, as needed
• Attend all required meetings to ensure service delivery and documentation in alignment with all procedures.
• Provide supervision either in person or virtually as allowed under the appropriate licensure requirements.
• Use assigned email address in order to meet the above requirements for confidentiality, their responsibilities for communication,reporting and delivery of services.
