Job Description - Occupational Therapist

Adelphi is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide services to students at a school in Fremont, California. The ideal candidate will provide in-person assessment, direct therapy, and consultation services to students, and will be responsible for supporting students with fine motor skills, personal care, eating, and sensorimotor development per their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy

• Current and valid license from the California Board of Occupational Therapy.

• Minimum of 1 year OT experience in a school-based or educational environment.

• Proficient in developing and following IEP guidelines, and collaborating with IEP teams.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct OT assessments and write reports with findings, recommendations, and potential therapy goals.

• Provide direct therapy and consultation as determined by IEP team decisions.

• Develop and present annual OT goals and objectives during IEP meetings.

• Maintain therapy plans and deliver quarterly progress reports.

• Consult with teachers and staff on strategies and materials.

• Attend and contribute to IEP meetings.

• Comply with all state-mandated requirements regarding confidentiality, data protection, and safety.

• Provide services in compliance with established guidelines and standards of care.

• Any other duties as assigned.
