Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking Home Health COTA for a 13-week travel/contract positions in Walla Walla, WA. We are accepting both local and travelers candidates.

Position Details:

Pay Rate: Range $1800 to $1880 Weekly Gross pay based on a 40-hr work week (Includes Non-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)

Mileage Reimbursement: $0.49/mile for distance covered between patient home appointments

Unit: Home Health

Shifts available: Days

Position Requirements:

• Occupational Therapist Assistant experience: 1-2 years - Required
  


• Recent/Current Home Health COTA experience: 1 year within the last 3 years - Required
  


• Home Care Home Base (HCHB) charting - Required 
  


• Must have valid Driver’s License and Personal Auto Insurance
  

Education, License and Certification Requirements:

• COTA License for State applying or Compact if applicable -  Required
  


• BLS Certification from AHA or American Red Cross - Required
  

Job Description:

• COTAs implement treatment plans designed by the supervising OT, focusing on activities of daily living (ADLs), functional mobility, and therapeutic exercises.
  


• Educate patients and their families on the proper use of assistive devices, home exercise programs, and techniques to improve function and safety.
  


• Observe and document patient progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the OTR.
  


• Work closely with the OT and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
  


• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatment sessions, progress notes, and other required paperwork.
  


• Providing support and guidance to patients and families in adapting to functional limitations.
  


• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings.
  


• Ensuring the therapy environment and equipment are safe and organized.
  


• Territories: Walla walla County, Lower Part of Columbia County and in to Umatilla County - 60 miles
