JOB SUMMARY

The Resident Office Specialist furthers the mission of Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains (GSTOP) through Stevens Ranch Resident Camp programming office work. The Resident Camp Office Specialist will assist in the daily business of a camp office directed by the Assistant Camp Director and Camp Director. 

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES  

• Work closely with the Assistant Camp Director and Camp Director on the camp office's daily operations. 
• Coordinate, purchase, and pick up supplies as needed and as approved by supervisor.  
• In charge of Bunk One. 
• In charge of Camp Docs management, running reports, and other tasks as needed. 
• Monitor the camp budget weekly to ensure no overspending occurs. 
• Maintain financial records on all expenses. 
• Ensure all bills, statements, credit card purchases are accounted for and coded each week and noted on the budget. 
• Ensure campers’ mail is delivered to the post office. 
• Check PO Box at local post office. 
• Organize transportation for programming excursions. 
• Work closely with the Site Manager to ensure all requests are carried out on both sides. 
• Promote practices that reduce waste, reuse items, and recycle as much as possible. 
• Understand and internalize the importance of seeking resolution to problems and concerns by bringing them to the supervisor's attention promptly. 
• Seek to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of all camp operations with positive and creative approaches to challenges.
• Demonstrate sound time-management skills by effectively and efficiently organizing, prioritizing, and completing multiple assignments in a timely manner.  
• Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information.  
• Ensure that diversity and pluralism are embraced and incorporated into the design and delivery of camp experiences; actively support and promote the camp’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. 
• Help provide an atmosphere for developing good morale and wellbeing among staff and promote team collaboration. Discourage gossip and encourage comradery. 
• Other duties assigned by Camp Director and Assistant Camp Director as they present themselves.  
• Evaluate the current season and make suggestions for the following season.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS 

• Minimum 18 years of age. 
• Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required (provided if needed). 
• Commitment to the mission and purpose of Girl Scouting. 
• Membership of Girl Scout organization. 
• Must be willing to work with all people without regard to race, religion, ethnic origin, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, age, or disability. 
• Experience and/or education in general Outdoor Education or Girl Scouts a plus. 
• Ability to coordinate on-site business activities. 
• Desire and ability to work with children and adults in a camp community.  
• Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and produce results. 
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 
• Verbal fluency, good grammar, and professional appearance. 
• Have and maintain a valid driver’s license in the state where employee works/resides, with an acceptable driving record, acceptable insurance, and reliable transportation. 
• You must complete and pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle records check, and drug screening.

• Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

• Staff Training Week: June 2-6, 2025
• Camp Week1: June 9-13, 2025
• Camp Week 2: June 16-20, 2025
• Camp Week 3: June 23-27, 2025
• Camp Week 4: July 30 – July 1, 2025 (overnight)

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

• Required valid CPR, AED, and First Aid certification (will be provided if needed).
