Job Description - Outrider (Seasonal)


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Escort starters to post and assist in the returning of all horses to the unsaddling area.
  • Assist in the control of any unruly horse or to recapture any loose horse in the racing area or paddock area.
  • Equipped with a two-way radio and be in contact with the Starter and Stewards.
  • Promotes outstanding customer relations and service.
  • Promotes honesty and trust amongst the team.
  • Responsible for ensuring HISA Compliance on the race track and paddock area.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum Ten (10) years of experience with Thoroughbred Horses.
  • Excellent riding skills.
  • Knowledge of Thoroughbred Racing Industry.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules due to the needs of the business, including mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
