Job Description - Outrider (Seasonal)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Escort starters to post and assist in the returning of all horses to the unsaddling area.
Assist in the control of any unruly horse or to recapture any loose horse in the racing area or paddock area.
Equipped with a two-way radio and be in contact with the Starter and Stewards.
Promotes outstanding customer relations and service.
Promotes honesty and trust amongst the team.
Responsible for ensuring HISA Compliance on the race track and paddock area.
Performs all other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Ten (10) years of experience with Thoroughbred Horses.
Excellent riding skills.
Knowledge of Thoroughbred Racing Industry.
Must be able to work flexible schedules due to the needs of the business, including mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
