Painter

Job Overview

This position completes various finished paint tasks by using appropriate methods and tools to achieve a professional finish on all types of surfaces. 

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:

• Scrape, sand and fill surfaces in preparation for painting and finishing.
  


• Operates paint spraying equipment for application of all paints and coatings.
  


• Complete painting projects using appropriate brushes, rollers and spray apparatus.
  


• Performs routine maintenance functions and ensures all equipment are kept clean.
  


• Practices good physical work methods, utilizes good work habits, and meets established production standards.
  


• Uses standard methods, practices, supplies, tools, and equipment to complete tasks.
  


• Wears proper personal protective equipment and works in a safe work environment at all times.
  


• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested when needed.

Qualifications

• One year of varied experience as a journey level painter.
  


• Good judgement and professionalism.
  


• Detail oriented.
  


• Possess a California driver’s license.
  


• Works in a team environment and individually

Working Conditions

• Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risk that require following basic safety precautions.
  


• Expose to dust, dirt, fumes, chemicals, and unpleasant odors.
  


• Moves objects at up to 50 pounds.


• Works involves standing for extended periods of time.


• Works a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
