Now Hiring: Contract Pharmacist (Temporary Assignment – Belcourt, ND)
Contract Duration: 55 Weeks
Location: Quentin N. Burdick Memorial Healthcare Facility, Belcourt, North Dakota
Are you a licensed and experienced pharmacist looking for a rewarding contract opportunity? We are seeking Registered Pharmacists to fulfill a government contract assignment with the Indian Health Service (IHS) at the Quentin N. Burdick Memorial Healthcare Facility (QNBMHCF), serving the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services
- Review medication orders for appropriateness, interactions, and accuracy
- Utilize ScriptPro, Pyxis, and other software to enter and dispense prescriptions
- Counsel patients on medication usage and discharge prescriptions
- Maintain records and compliance with DEA requirements for Schedule II drugs
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication practices
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy
- Current, unrestricted pharmacist license from any U.S. state
- Fully credentialed and in good standing with no disciplinary actions
- Strong communication skills with sensitivity to Native American communities
- Able to work independently and maintain professional hygiene standards
- Proof of vaccination (COVID-19, Influenza, Measles, Rubella)
Contract Details:
- Temporary assignment (55 weeks from award date)
- Must meet JCAHO, HCFA, and IHS standards
- Housing and per diem may be available (depending on contract terms)
