Phoenix Indian Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Contract Pharmacist for a long-term outpatient/inpatient assignment. This role offers the chance to provide vital pharmacy services in a supportive, mission-driven environment while serving the Colorado River Indian Tribes community. Position Highlights:

• Long-term contract with potential for extension
• Outpatient pharmacy focus at Parker Indian Health Center
• 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
• Active license from any U.S. state accepted

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited pharmacy program/school
• Active pharmacy license in any U.S. state
• Minimum of 2 years’ pharmacy experience
• Outpatient pharmacy background preferred
• Prior IHS or federal facility experience is a plus
• Must be able to pass a federal background check

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify provider prescriptions for safe and effective therapy
• Dispense medications with patient-centered counseling and education
• Conduct follow-ups to assess medication effectiveness and adherence
• Manage pharmacy inventory and ensure compliance with handling/storage standards
• Provide clinical guidance on medication use, drug interactions, and therapy management
• Partner with medical staff to support continuity of care for patients

Requirements

• Be a graduate of an accredited pharmacy program/school
• Previous contract experience is a plus
• Previous IHS facility experience helpful
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Have a Pharmacist degree from a school of pharmacy approved by a state-accrediting agency
• Possess a current, active, unrestricted license from any of the 50 United States, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or the District of Columbia.
• Maintain continuing education/certification
• Must be a US citizen, living primarily in the United States
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a pharmacist within the past 36 months
• References required
• Must meet all credentialing and background investigation requirements.
