Position Highlights:

• 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited pharmacy program/school
• Active pharmacy license in any U.S. state
• Minimum of 2 years’ pharmacy experience
• Prior IHS or federal facility experience preferred
• Contract or travel experience is highly desired
• Must be able to pass a federal background check

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and verify provider orders to ensure safe, effective medication use
• Dispense medications and provide clear, patient-centered counseling
• Conduct assessments to monitor medication effectiveness and adherence
• Manage pharmacy inventory and ensure proper storage and security protocols
• Prepare and handle medications according to best-practice safety standards
• Collaborate with other clinical departments to support comprehensive patient care
• Serve as a resource for medication therapy management and drug information

Requirements

• Be a graduate of an accredited pharmacy program/school
• Previous contract experience is a plus
• Previous IHS facility experience helpful
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Have a Pharmacist degree from a school of pharmacy approved by a state-accrediting agency
• Possess a current, active, unrestricted license from any of the 50 United States, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or the District of Columbia.
• Maintain continuing education/certification
• Must be a US citizen, living primarily in the United States
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a pharmacist within the past 36 months
• References required
• Must meet all credentialing and background investigation requirements.
