Phlebotomist

• Phlebotomists may work in multiple areas of the lab as determined by the needs of the service at that time and shall be responsible for providing the following services:
  • The temporary employee shall perform patient phlebotomy to include inpatient ward rounds, inpatient and outpatient, Emergency Department (ED), STAT, as soon as possible (ASAP) and timed draws.
  • The temporary employee will perform sample processing and sent out preparation.
  • As part of safety, positively identifies patients prior to sample collection and samples prior to testing or aliquoting. 
  • As part of safety and safeguards electronic and paper patient information.
  • Identifies, documents and resolves any collection, or processing issues.
  • Assures patient-centered care and provides service in a manner that is professional and will avoid complaints from all stakeholders and customers. 

• Minimum of three (3) years of recent Phlebotomy experience
• Certificate in Phlebotomy
• Proven ability to speak, understand, read, and write English fluently
• Active BLS (AHA Preferred) Card
• Authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship (all jobs)
• Ability to obtain a public trust

The work location is flexible if the company approves it, except that the position may not be performed remotely from Colorado.
