Job Description - Physical Therapist

Adelphi is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide Physical Therapy and Evaluation Services for students in the Poplar Bluff, Missouri. The ideal candidate will deliver direct services, conduct evaluations, maintain compliance with Missouri state education laws and district policies, and collaborate with educational staff and families.

Requirements:
• Current Missouri licensure as a Physical Therapist

Responsibilities:
• Provide approximately 55–65 units (15-minute increments) of therapy per week during school hours
• Deliver services during Extended School Year (ESY) if determined necessary by IEP team •
• Schedule therapy sessions in coordination with the Director of Special Services
• Evaluate students and submit written reports within 3 weeks of assessment
• Develop and support IEP goals/objectives and participate in IEP meetings when requested
• Provide quarterly updates on student progress
• Log each therapy session and submit detailed monthly billing summaries
• Notify case managers within 3 days of any changes in student condition
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for each student
• Log eligible Medicaid services using the district’s designated system
• Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians and case managers
• Complete all special education paperwork and attend necessary meetings
• Submit invoices by the 3rd of each month following service delivery, including service description, number of units, and total fee
• Comply with all FERPA, HIPAA, and applicable state/federal laws
• Any other duties as assigned.
