Adelphi is seeking highly qualified and licensed Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) to provide supportive school-based therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The ideal candidate will assist in implementing individualized physical therapy interventions to support student mobility and participation across educational environments in Texas.

Requirements:
• Associate’s Degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Texas license as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Supervision by a licensed Physical Therapist as required by Texas state regulations.
• Experience in school-based or pediatric therapy settings preferred.
• Familiarity with IEP goals, documentation procedures, and student mobility interventions.
• Understanding of adaptive equipment, positioning techniques, and gross motor support.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed PT.
• Implement therapy plans to address mobility, posture, balance, strength, and functional motor skills.
• Assist students with positioning, transfers, and navigating the school environment safely.
• Collect and document data on student performance and communicate progress to the supervising PT.
• Collaborate with school staff and caregivers to promote the generalization of physical therapy goals.
• Prepare materials, maintain equipment, and support compliance with safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure documentation meets all regulatory requirements.
• Participate in training and supervision sessions as required.
• Adhere to state licensure laws and ethical guidelines for PTA practice.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the PTA scope.
