A Dynamic Therapy Setting

At Foothills Presbyterian Community, PTAs have the opportunity to work across multiple settings on the same campus, including:

  • Short-Term Rehabilitation – Helping patients regain strength, mobility, and function following illness, injury, or surgery.
  • Outpatient Therapy – Providing personalized treatment to help residents and community members maintain independence and quality of life.
  • Residential & Memory Care Support – Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to develop therapy programs that support ongoing mobility and function. This variety allows PTAs to build diverse skills, work with a range of patient needs, and expand their expertise in geriatric rehabilitation.

Your Role as a PTA

  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered therapy to help seniors regain strength, mobility, and independence.
  • Work alongside Physical Therapists and an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Deliver therapy in both short-term rehab and outpatient settings, allowing for a diverse and engaging caseload.

Requirements

  • Education: Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Current Physical Therapy Assistant license in South Carolina.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or similar setting is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong communication, time management, and critical thinking abilities.
