Requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in the State of Texas.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing PT, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Experience working with PTAs and in school or pediatric settings strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of IDEA, ADA, and educational documentation standards.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sites and supervise across caseloads.
Responsibilities:
• Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) assigned to school sites.
• Ensure that all PTA services are in compliance with state practice acts, licensing board standards, and IEP guidelines.
• Review and co-sign therapy documentation, treatment notes, and progress reports completed by PTAs.
• Conduct periodic observations and evaluations of PTA service delivery for quality assurance.
• Support onboarding, professional development, and ongoing training for PTA staff.
• Communicate regularly with supervising PTs, school personnel, and administrative teams.
• Assist in caseload coordination, problem resolution, and performance improvement.
• Deliver direct PT services when needed to support coverage or manage caseload overflow.
• Maintain documentation of supervision activities per regulatory and organizational requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of supervisory and clinical responsibilities.
