Power Up Teacher

• Develop and create a math and literacy curriculum with an emphasis on hands-on and fun activities.
• Plan and lead engaging, educational, and grade-appropriate activities.
• Implement and assess a post-test and pre-test in math and literacy skills (grade-specific).
• Must be able to provide leadership, on-the-spot and reflective feedback, and supervision to youth.
• Help encourage positive behaviors and provide guidance.
• Provide daily feedback to the supervisor on how the day went and how programs and the space can improve.
• Maintain order and discipline among students while upholding safety.

• Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited University or in your third year of receiving an education degree preferred.
• Experience working with youth grades Kindergarten through 5^th grade.
• Youth Supervisory Experience is preferred.
• Ability to work during the summer (June 15^th – August 7^th) from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm, Monday – Thursday.

• Must be of the mental and physical capacity to observe, interact, and communicate with youth, staff, volunteers, parents, etc. at the Club to ensure the safety of the space and others, provide guidance and reflection per the Club priority outcomes and goals
• Ability to stand/sit for long periods of time throughout a shift
• Ability to operate various types of general office equipment including PC, telephone, copier, etc.
• This position is considered to be safety-sensitive.
