Provides emergency medical interventions at the direction of the JSC Emergency Operation Center in concert with the JSC Fire and Security specialists. The ideal candidate for this position possesses excellent patient service skills, is able to work well under pressure, and make quick decisions about patient health. Provides a supportive role for smooth daily JSC Clinic operations to include completing, EKG, and Provides open, clear feedback to the (ED) Nurse. Supports special functions and programs of Johnson Space Center. NOTE: This position is PRN and will work on an as needed basis.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responds to emergency calls, assesses patient condition and makes critical care decisions quickly.
- Demonstrates the ability to be an advocate for and strive to protect the health, safety and rights of the patient, and maintains the utmost in privacy for our patients.
- Communicates effectively with other care providers (physicians, nurses, and satellite staff) to provide for continuity of patient care and to meet the needs of the patients we serve.
- Collects pertinent patient care data and transfers that data to a medical professional based on state guidelines.
- Transfers patients to local hospitals.
- Demonstrates fiscal responsibility by taking ownership of time management, decreasing waste (of time and supplies) and promoting cost effectiveness while maintaining patient safety and quality of care.

- Identifies and assists with opportunities for performance improvement activities.
- Demonstrates positive behaviors, interactions, and a positive attitude.
- Responsible for compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental plan; must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all of the Companyâs safety policies and rules and must be willing to report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel.
