We are looking for a versatile Production Assistant to work on-site and support all aspects of a busy Virtual Production stage. As a Production Assistant, you will perform a variety of tasks for the production and stage teams to support demos, testing, and shoots. Our ideal candidate is resourceful, able to problem solve, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- This is a stage, craft service, and runner position
- Support production and stage crews during tests, demos, and shoots.
- Prep and set up lights, props, equipment, craft services, and catering.
- Assist with daily paperwork, including call sheets, shot lists, and emails.
- Help coordinate on-set talent and manage crowd control (signage, directing visitors, set lockdowns).
- Perform administrative tasks (answering phones, calling vendors, handling paperwork).
- Run errands for crew and production as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all production areas.
- Manage and track production inventory and supplies.
- Coordinate drive-on access with security.
- Assist with on-set R&D initiatives and equipment tests.
- Set up and break down production equipment and sets.
- Facilitate communication between departments to ensure smooth workflow.
- Support cast and crew with on-set needs and transportation arrangements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in film, media, communications, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a production environment is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Valid driver’s license may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic understanding of Virtual Production & VFX terminology and application
- Passion for learning the ins and outs of the stage, VFX production, and new technology
- A team player with exceptional communication skills and a can-do attitude
- Excellent organizational skills
- Self-starter who is assertive, enthusiastic, and highly motivated
- Ability to multi-task and follow up on various projects
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite
$35,000 - $46,000 a year
This salary range is specific to applicants located in Los Angeles, California. To determine your base salary, we consider your qualifications, skills, and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary outside of this range and will also be dependent on your location.
