Job Description:

Mandatory Skills:

• Windows Server OS basics (Services, Event Viewer, Task Scheduler)
• Basic SQL (MS SQL Server) querying
• Ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira)
• Monitoring tools (Nagios, SolarWinds, Splunk)
• Basic PowerShell scripting (optional)
• Strong communication and incident triage skills

Detailed Job description:

• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated incidents related to Windows servers and applications
• Perform root cause analysis using Windows Event Logs, IIS logs, and application logs
• Monitor and tune server and application performance
• Automate support tasks and monitoring using PowerShell scripting
• Support application deployments, patches, and configuration changes
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for issue resolution
• Maintain and improve operational documentation, runbooks, and SOPs
• Proactively monitor batch jobs, Windows services, and system health
• Participate in incident management and on-call rotations

Good to have:

• Basic SQL (MS SQL Server) querying
• Ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira)
• Monitoring tools (Splunk, Datadog, CloudWatch)
