What you will get to do:
- Plan and direct hourly workloads to facilitate timely flow of product through the plant to favorably impact key indicators.
- Prepare and maintain quality procedures required to ensure operation’s quality systems adhere to quality management system requirements and customer specific requirements. Provide work instructions, standards, inspection methods, gages and frequencies and the necessary direction to meet customer requirements.
- Interact with suppliers including quality audits and problem resolution with a goal of developing partnerships with suppliers. Analyze supplier PPAP documentation to ensure that the components supplied and processes conform to AIAG PPAP guidelines.
- Lead, schedule and participate in audit and implementation of quality management systems.
- Participate actively in cost reduction, cost avoidance programs necessary to meet business plan Initiatives or monthly operational performance objectives.
- Assist the Quality Manager in establishing and implementing systems and procedures that will support the company’s commitment to continuously improve the overall quality level of it’s products.
- Develop and participate in Advance Quality Planning activities for new products and process introduction/release, including but not limited to product and process FMEA’s and cause and affect analysis, as well as process flow diagrams and control plans.
- Administer the necessary containment, resource sorting and corrective action activities both internally and external in the event of any of the following are encountered: supplier concern, customer concern, or warranty and field returns.
What will make you successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
- Strong knowledge of quality standards and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean principles).
- Analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Experience with quality tools and software (e.g., SPC, Minitab, inspection equipment).
- Attention to detail to ensure products and processes meet specifications and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
- Hands-on experience with audits, inspections, and testing procedures.
