Provide supervision, leadership, and oversight at Ivins City Recreation leagues, games, programs, and events. Ensure fair play, safety, and positive experiences for participants. Responsible for monitoring game activities, supporting officials, maintaining facility standards, and acting as a liaison for coaches. Promote sportsmanship, fair play, and full participation across all activities.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Works under the direct supervision of the Recreation Coordinator and the general supervision of Parks & Recreation Director.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
May provide close general supervision to Sports Officials and Volunteer Coaches; does not conduct performance reviews and does not have authority to hire or discipline.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills, and other characteristics. Complete daily reports and paperwork.
Hand materials out to participants, coaches, parents, instructors, and officials of each activity.
Organize and set up facilities when necessary for practices, games, or activities.
Supervise and ensure that schedules are followed accurately during each activity.
Ensure guidelines, rules, and sportsmanship are maintained.
Assess conditions on playing field or activity site and ensure safety and proper set up.
Address concerns and questions of the coaches, players, or parents, and reports them to the Recreation Coordinator.
Report any field/facility problems to the Recreation Coordinator.
Ensure safety of staff, participants, and citizens.
Hand out awards.
Ensure activity site is clean and secure after each activity.
Oversee games ensuring they start on time at the beginning, and after each time-out and
Keep track of supplies and
May be required to fill in as sports official.
Consistently evaluate sports officials and offer basic on-site trainings

Education and Experience:
Six months’ prior experience in related activities is helpful but not required.
Knowledge:
English – Knowledge of the English language, including proper structure, spelling, grammar, and
