Please note that this is a Part-Time, non-benefitted position. Generally hours will be 20-30 per week, with an expectation to work Evening and Weekend District Events. Hours may fluctuate based on needs, and will most likely be low to none during Winter Holiday weeks.
This position will be open until filled.
Under the general supervision of the Recreation Supervisor, this position assists with recreational programming, special events, facility rentals, marketing, and community outreach while also providing customer service and administrative support for the Recreation Division. Responsibilities include preparing and implementing special events, assisting with marketing efforts including social media and promotional materials, greeting and assisting the public, processing program registrations and facility rentals, and helping maintain records.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:
Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in recreation administration, communication studies, leisure services or a related field or two (2) years of recreation, customer service, marketing, or event experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; attend meetings and events at various sites within and outside the District; lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; work outdoors in varying weather and temperature conditions; and have availability to work evenings, weekends, and special events as required. Vision, hearing, and speech are sufficient to read printed materials, operate a computer, and communicate effectively in person and over the telephone are required.
