Sheladia Associates, Inc. (Sheladia), a minority-owned business established in 1974, is an engineering and architecture firm supporting U.S. government, state and county projects, as well as international, multi-lateral donor bank and host-country funded projects.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Registered Landscape Architect to join our team working with the US Army Core in the North East, United States region. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and sustainable landscape designs for a variety of projects, ranging from urban parks to residential developments.

• Develop and execute landscape design concepts from initial ideation to final construction documents
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and environmental specialists
• Conduct site analyses and prepare detailed site plans, planting plans, and construction drawings
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful project delivery
• Present design concepts to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies
• Incorporate sustainable design practices and local environmental considerations into all projects
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in landscape architecture
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the overall growth of the department

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program
• Professional registration as a Landscape Architect (PLA/RLA)
• Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in landscape architecture (USACE experience highly preferred)
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp) and GIS systems
• Strong design and visualization skills, with the ability to create compelling presentations
• Excellent project management abilities, including budget and timeline management
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
• Thorough understanding of sustainable design principles and their application in landscape architecture
• Familiarity with local zoning laws and building codes in the North East region
• LEED AP certification is preferred

Salary: Salary range is dependent on scope of work, location of project, as well as level of experience. This range could fall anywhere between: $80 - $110k
