Adjunct Medical Terminology Instructor:
Role:
Teaches Medical Terminology classes for Medical Coding and Billing and Health Sciences students
The salary rate for this position is $675.00 per credit hour.
Responsibilities:
· 75% Teaches no more than 9 credit hours per semester.
· 10% Works as a team member in Business & Entrepreneurship pathway; complies with all faculty responsibilities as outlined in college policies and procedures.
· 10% Contributes to campus assessment process by measuring and reporting student learning outcomes as directed to meet THECB Core Objectives and SACSCOC requirements and completes annual compliance training.
· 5% Performs other duties as assigned by the Dean and Department Chair.

Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Health Sciences or related field with coursework in medical diagnostics, anatomy and physiology with a minimum of three years experience or Bachelors degree in Health Sciences or related field with coursework in medical diagnostics and anatomy and physicology.
- Five years of industry experience and classroom teaching are preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to engage students in the learning process and proven commitment to student success.
- Collegial attitude with college community as well as outside entities.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Experience tracking student learning outcomes, analyzing resultant data, and implementing improvement plans.
- Excellent computer skills.
