We’re a growing, purpose-driven team, and we’re looking for people who care deeply and show up fully.

About the Role – Grant Writer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Grant Writer to support our organization in identifying funding opportunities, preparing compelling grant proposals, and managing the grant application process. This is a remote, contract-based role ideal for a self-motivated professional with a strong track record in securing funding from government agencies, foundations, and private organizations.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Research and identify federal, state (Ohio), local, and private grant opportunities aligned with organizational goals

  • Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents

  • Maintain a grant calendar, tracking deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements

  • Ensure compliance with grant guidelines and requirements

  • Prepare post-award reports and maintain accurate documentation of funded projects

  • Build and maintain relationships with funders and stakeholders

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Grant Writer with a successful funding track record

  • Strong understanding of grant funding processes, particularly within Ohio (preferred)

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and research skills

  • Ability to translate program goals into compelling narratives

  • Experience with budget development and grant reporting

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (preferred)

Preferred (but not required):

  • Prior leadership or senior case management experience

  • Experience in behavioral health settings

What We Offer

  • This is a 1099 independent contractor position

  • Part-time

  • Compensation is competitive and based on experience

  • Performance-based incentives or bonuses may be offered for successful grant awards

Work Schedule

  • 20 hours per week

  • Flexible, project-based schedule

  • Must be able to meet agreed-upon deadlines

How to Apply

Please submit your resume, a brief cover letter, and 1–3 writing samples (preferably funded grant proposals or excerpts). Include a list of grants you have successfully secured, if available.
