The Senior SDET will play a pivotal role in establishing the automation testing strategy from the ground up. This role requires deep technical expertise in test automation frameworks, hands-on coding experience, and the ability to connect testing directly with business impact. You will architect and implement a robust automation framework, integrate it into CI/CD pipelines, and ensure our applications meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
What to Expect in This Role (Responsibilities)
Design, build, and maintain a complete automation framework using Playwright and JavaScript/TypeScript.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar).
Collaborate with development teams to manage version control of testing assets and align with engineering practices.
Evaluate quality risks and communicate their direct impact on business processes.
Conduct code reviews for automation scripts, ensuring best practices, optimization, and maintainability.
Proactively explore applications to identify test cases aligned with business goals.
Requirements
5+ years of proven experience in test automation architecture, building frameworks from scratch.
3+ years of professional coding experience in JavaScript (Java acceptable, but JavaScript proficiency is required).
2+ years of recent, hands-on experience with Playwright for UI and end-to-end testing.
2+ years of experience integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
Strong understanding of software engineering principles and QA best practices.
Native or near-native English proficiency, with excellent communication skills.
Strong ability to analyze and test business logic, not just technical workflows.
Nice to Have
2+ years of experience in API testing (REST, GraphQL, or equivalent).
1+ year of exposure to Salesforce testing.
Experience mentoring QA engineers or contributing to engineering culture around testing.
