Temporary Awards Coordinator

About the Position
The Producers Guild of America is seeking a Temporary Awards Coordinator to join our team and assist in managing the awards submission process from the date of hire until mid-to-late February. As an Awards Coordinator, you will play a vital role in organizing aspects of the PGA Awards submission process that determines the eligibility of individuals for producing honors. Compensation Range, Reporting Structure and Work Schedule

• Compensation Range: $21.63- $24.04 per hour (equivalent to $45,000 - $50,000 per year), commensurate with skills and experience.
• This is a temporary nonexempt position 
• Reports to Corporate Counsel/Director of Arbitrations
• Location: Los Angeles. The Guild works on a hybrid schedule of in-office on Tues, Wed, and Thurs and remote on Mon and Fri.

• Awards Eligibility Process Administration - 85%
• General Awards Administration - 15%

• Assist in the administration of the awards eligibility processes in a timely manner 
  • Verify eligibility of productions and producers through communication with studios, production companies, crew members and producers
  • Assist staff, as necessary, in gathering the requisite materials for each submission
  • Inventory each submission to ensure that the submitters have provided the requisite materials

• Answer general questions from staff and the public about the awards eligibility processes in a friendly and informative manner
• Maintain a complete log of all films and producers evaluated for awards eligibility
• Curate various reports requested by the Guild’s Executive staff
  • Work with membership and programming departments regarding information requests
• Assist in the review of awards ballots
• Assist in the administration of the Documentary Nomination Jury process

• 2+ years of legal and/or administrative experience, preferably within the entertainment industry.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Superior writing skills with expert level knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in managing data and generating reports.
• Solid analytical and computer skills, including expertise in Adobe, Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office programs, as well as the Google Suite.
• Strong oral communication skills to engage with influential producers, staff, and interns effectively.
• Ability to work independently while contributing successfully to a team.
• Unwavering ethics and a commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Demonstrated sound judgment, even in ambiguous situations.
