Description du poste

The Transport Buyer Specialist is responsible for supporting the procurement and management of transport services, ensuring cost-effectiveness, compliance, and alignment with internal procedures. The role involves close collaboration with carriers, internal stakeholders, and the finance team. Key activities include:

  • Support in the selection and onboarding of transport providers
  • Management and analysis of transport tariffs
  • Preparation, negotiation, and administration of transport contracts
  • Creation and management of purchase orders in SAP
  • Participation in customer tenders and preparation of transport quotations
  • Network analysis to support route optimization and pricing strategies
  • Collaboration with the invoicing team for pre-invoice validation
  • Data consistency checks across systems and documentation

Qualifications

  • Bac + 5 en génie industriel et logistique
  • 3 to 5 years of experience
  • Knowledge of transport and logistics processes
  • Familiarity with procurement or supplier management practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
  • Experience with SAP, particularly in purchase order management
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Fluency in Italian and English (written and spoken)
