WHMCS Developer

Brief:

CC.Talent is seeking a WHMCS Developer responsible for implementing, customizing, and maintaining the core billing and accounting modules within our WHMCS platform. Your focus will be on developing full-stack solutions, integrating third-party systems such as payment gateways and CRMs, and building custom modules that extend WHMCS functionality. This role demands hands-on experience with WHMCS APIs, C++ and Python development, and strong familiarity with cPanel, WHM, and Linux-based environments. You’ll collaborate closely with a distributed team of developers to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable platform enhancements.

The client is a rapidly growing technology company operating at the intersection of cybersecurity and digital infrastructure transformation for private capital markets. Their core focus lies in building secure, scalable platforms that streamline complex financial workflows, with a particular emphasis on data protection, billing automation, and seamless system integrations. Responsibilities:

• Execute full-stack development tasks (front-end and back-end) for WHMCS.

• Design, build, and maintain custom WHMCS modules to meet specific business requirements.

• Implement and support API integrations with external platforms such as payment gateways, CRM systems, and accounting tools.

• Utilize WHMCS hooks and internal APIs to extend core functionalities.

• Perform system diagnostics and troubleshooting across WHMCS and associated integrations.

• Collaborate with other developers and stakeholders to define project requirements and deliver robust, scalable solutions.

• Provide support for version upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.

• Ensure secure, reliable operations in Linux-based hosting environments, with an emphasis on cPanel and WHM.

• Strong experience with WHMCS: custom development, module creation, and system architecture.

• Proficient in C++ and Python for backend services and logic.

• Solid understanding of WHMCS APIs, hooks, and templates.

• Comfortable working within Linux server environments and using cPanel/WHM.

• Proven experience integrating third-party tools such as payment processors, accounting software, and CRM systems.

• Familiarity with MySQL and web technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript).

• Knowledge of billing case reference structures and workflows.

• Understanding of distribution platform architecture and its integration with billing modules.

• Security-conscious mindset with experience implementing secure coding practices and access controls in WHMCS.

• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with remote teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Docker, Git workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Background in SaaS billing models or managed hosting platforms.

• Prior experience with project management or agile development tools.
