Salary :
The Residential AutoCAD Drafter is responsible for creating accurate, detailed construction drawings and design plans for residential projects, including single-family homes, multi-family units, remodels, and additions. Working closely with architects, designers, and project managers, this role translates design concepts and specifications into precise AutoCAD drawings that meet building codes and client requirements.
This role is fully onsite
6 Month Contract to Hire, Salary: $23-28/hr depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections, and details for residential construction projects.
- Interpret sketches, design notes, and verbal instructions from architects and designers into professional working drawings.
- Ensure all drawings comply with applicable building codes, zoning regulations, and company drafting standards.
- Revise and update drawings based on feedback from design leads, engineers, and clients.
- Maintain organized electronic drawing files and documentation for easy retrieval and version control.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to clarify design intent and resolve drafting issues.
Requirements:
- 4+ years related work experience
- Experienced with residential projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
$23 - $28 an hour
