Job Description - Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Duration: 14 weeks

Schedule:Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, 06:30 AM-07:00 PM

Rate: Travel: $1,677/35-hours; Local: $1,652/35-hours

Requirements:

Valid and active Respiratory Therapy State license

BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications

Responsibilities:

Evaluate patients' respiratory health, including lung function and oxygen levels.

Create personalized respiratory care plans based on assessments and medical history.

Administer treatments to improve lung function and relieve respiratory distress.

Manage mechanical ventilators and adjust settings for patients with breathing difficulties.

Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and self-care.

Respond to respiratory emergencies per established protocols.

Maintain and ensure the cleanliness of respiratory equipment.

Document assessments and treatments accurately and promptly.

Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop patient care plans.

Follow infection control and quality assurance standards in compliance with regulations.
