At Home Helpers Home Care of Canton, GA, we provide compassionate, professional in-home care for seniors and adults with disabilities across Cherokee, Pickens, Gilmer, Gordon, Dawson, and surrounding counties. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) / Field Supervisor to join us on a contract basis. This role is perfect for an RN who is retired or nearing retirement and still wants to make a meaningful impact—without the demands of a full-time hospital or facility schedule.
Position Summary
The RN/Field Supervisor is responsible for developing individualized care plans, supervising caregivers, providing initial and ongoing client assessments, and ensuring high standards of care are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-home client assessments within 72 hours of an initial inquiry.
- Develop, implement, and revise care plans in collaboration with clients and families.
- Complete supervisory visits every 90 days.
- Supervise caregivers and conduct training at onboarding.
- Perform client and caregiver check-in calls to ensure satisfaction and proper care delivery.
- Provide oversight for Personal Care Assistants (PCAs), Companions, and Sitters, including evaluations.
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement and staff support activities.
- Review caregivers’ care logs and sign off monthly.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current Georgia RN license (required).
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience (home health or hospital setting).
- Able to provide Hoyer Lift training.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong commitment to client-centered care.
