Job Description - Safety and Sanitation Subject Matter Expert

Position: Safety and Sanitation SME Consultant
Location: Arizona Federal detention facility
Duration: September 2025 (specific dates TBD)
Security Clearance: NACI background check required

Position Summary
We seek a Safety and Sanitation Subject Matter Expert to evaluate safety programs and sanitation standards at a federal detention facility housing federal detainees.

Key Responsibilities

Assess fire safety programs and procedures
Evaluate control of dangerous materials and hazards
Review air quality and noise level compliance
Examine facility sanitation standards
Assess cleanliness of clothing and bedding systems
Review safety training and emergency procedures
Evaluate environmental health standards
Prepare detailed safety and sanitation assessment reports

Required Qualifications

Minimum 10 years experience in safety and sanitation management
Background in correctional facility safety operations
Knowledge of fire safety codes and regulations
Understanding of environmental health standards
Experience with hazardous materials management
Strong technical assessment capabilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
US citizenship required for security clearance

Travel Requirements
Travel to facility location required. Government reimburses actual travel costs.
