Scale Operator (Seasonal)

We're seeking Seasonal Scale Operators who will play a key role in providing excellent customer service by accurately operating the scale and assisting with daily operational and maintenance tasks. The role requires strong communication and teamwork to ensure smooth workflow and collaboration across the branch. Adherence to all safety policies and procedures is essential to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)

• Greet customers in a positive, courteous manner and provide excellent customer service.
• Operate the scale, probe grain, take samples, enter sales tickets, and process customer payments accurately.
• Assist with facility operations, including loading vehicles, maintaining cleanliness, painting, and performing general maintenance tasks.
• Complete all paperwork and reports accurately and on time, while complying with state and federal laws and regulations.
• Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and management, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures, promote a safe work environment, and maintain a clean, professional appearance.
• Be available to work a flexible schedule, including varying days, shifts, and overtime as needed.
• Demonstrate basic computer skills and maintain regular, reliable attendance.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

The role involves frequent physical activity, including lifting, climbing ladders and equipment, and working in varied environments, requiring full adherence to safety protocols. Employees may be exposed to loud noise, extreme weather, hazardous materials, and potentially dangerous conditions, emphasizing the need for awareness and implementation of all safety procedures.
