Scheduler (Long Term Care, Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living)

Summary of Position:

We are seeking a Scheduler to join our team at Chapters Living. The Scheduler will be responsible for creating and managing schedules for our caregivers, ensuring that the facility is appropriately staffed at all times. The Scheduler will also coordinate with other departments to ensure that schedules are aligned with the needs of our residents.

Job Duties:

• Create and manage schedules for caregivers using scheduling software or manual methods.
• Ensure that staffing levels are appropriate for the needs of the facility and residents.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as nursing and activities, to ensure that schedules are aligned with resident needs.
• Communicate schedule changes to caregivers and management in a timely and effective manner.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new caregivers, including scheduling orientation sessions.
• Monitor caregiver attendance and punctuality and take appropriate action when necessary.
• Generate reports on staffing levels, attendance, and other relevant data as needed.
• Respond to inquiries from caregivers and management regarding scheduling and other related matters.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in healthcare or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a scheduling or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare or long term care setting.
• Knowledge of scheduling software and basic computer skills required.
• Valid Medication Aide Certification preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to effectively communicate with staff at all levels.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and holidays.
