Position Details: School Nurse

• Title: School Nurse


• Location: Zion, IL


• Duration: For 25-26 school year


• Onsite/Virtual: Onsite


• Position Type: Contract


• Working Hours: 35 hours weekly, from Monday to Friday


• Student Age Group: Pre-k to 8th grade.

Responsibilities: School Nurse

• Develop and maintain student care plans


• Document student health histories


• Create individual education plans


• Maintain student records


• Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with students, parents, staff, administrators, and direct supervisors


• Coordinate health clinics to assist parents in completing health requirements for school


• Monitor immunization compliance and non-compliance status of students


• Travel between school sites and attend school-related meetings at the school or district administration building

Qualifications: School Nurse

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing


• At least 1 year of successful professional nursing experience


• Valid Illinois driver's license


• Valid Illinois Registered Nurse license


• Valid Professional Educator License endorsement in school nursing preferred.


• Work towards school vision and audiometric certification
