School Proctor - In Person

About the Role:

As an In-Person Proctor at Braintrust Tutors, you’ll support the successful delivery of online tutoring by assisting students onsite as they participate in virtual instruction. Your presence helps create a calm, organized, and student-focused environment where learners can stay engaged and overcome any minor technical or logistical challenges.

Location & Schedule

• Where: PS28X Mount Hope

          1861 Anthony Avenue, Bronx, NY 10457

• Days: T/W/Th/F


• Hours: 12:30 pm to 2:10 pm


• Dates: 2/23/26 initial start date for 36 total sessions (2/23/26 - 4/23/26)


• Compensation: $30/hour ($55/day)

Job Type: Independent Contractor (1099)

What You Will  Do:

• Greet students and help them locate their assigned tutoring stations


• Assist students with logging into their virtual tutoring platforms


• Troubleshoot basic login or connectivity issues


• Maintain a quiet, focused atmosphere conducive to learning


• Communicate with the Braintrust team about any scheduling or technical issues


• Ensure students stay on task and receive needed support during sessions

What You Will Have:

• High school diploma or equivalent


• Experience working with children ages 6–12


• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills


• Patience, dependability, and a positive attitude


• Comfort using basic technology (laptops, tablets, Wi-Fi login)


• Ability to pass a background check


• Reliable transportation
