Job Description - School Psychologist

Adelphi is seeking a school psychologist to provide psychological services in St. Lucie, Florida.
The ideal candidate will work closely with school administration to provide services to students for the exceptional student department, in accordance with established guidelines and standards of practice.

Requirements:
• Master's degree with certification in School Psychology or Florida state licensure in school psychology or psychology.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in education or related field preferred.
• Ability to perform the functions of the position.

Responsibilities:
• Work closely with teachers, administrators, student services staff, and parents to identify and implement effective solutions for student learning and behavioral concerns.
• Conduct psychological evaluations using appropriate methods and tools, and provide timely, comprehensive reports to support instructional planning and development of Individual Educational Plans (IEPs).
• Provide short -term counseling and behavioral support to improve communication, socialization, adjustment, and academic achievement.
• Actively participate in the Problem -Solving/Response to Intervention (PS/RtI) process and contribute to initiatives that enhance instructional programs and student outcomes.
• Participate in and lead in -service trainings and conferences, and maintain consistent communication with parents regarding available educational, behavioral, health, and mental health services.
• Complete required documentation, including Medicaid billing where applicable, perform all assigned duties efficiently and with high quality, and fulfill additional responsibilities as directed by supervisory staff.
• Any other duties as assigned.
