Job Description - Seasonal Box Office Assistant

Attain Sports brings a community-focused, values-driven, and player-centric approach to connect diverse groups and create impact through the power of sports. The company was formed in 2021 and presents an affordable, family-friendly sports and entertainment portfolio that brings a commitment to community engagement, customer service, innovation, and the professional growth and development of its family of athletes and employees.


Attain Sports owns and manages four baseball teams: the Baltimore Orioles Double-A affiliate Chesapeake Baysox, the Baltimore Orioles High-A affiliate Aberdeen IronBirds, the MLB Draft League Frederick Keys, and the Atlantic League Professional Baseball Club Spire City Ghost Hounds. Additionally, Attain Sports is an owner of the United Soccer League (USL) Championship Club Loudoun United FC.


 


The Chesapeake Baysox are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Seasonal Box Office Assistant to support ticket sales and guest services during the baseball season. This role plays a key part in creating a positive game-day experience by assisting fans with ticket purchases, questions, and box office needs in a fast-paced, energetic environment. 



Key Responsibilities
 


  • Sell individual game tickets, promotions, and special event tickets in person, by phone, and online 

  • Provide accurate information to fans regarding seating, pricing, promotions, schedules, and ballpark policies 

  • Process ticket purchases, exchanges, and will-call pickups using the ticketing system 

  • Handle cash, credit card, and digital transactions accurately 

  • Balance cash drawers and complete basic sales paperwork 

  • Deliver friendly, professional customer service to all fans 

  • Assist with game-day box office operations and peak-volume sales periods 

  • Communicate effectively with guest services, ushers, and front office staff 

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure box office area 

  • Adhere to all Chesapeake Baysox policies, procedures, and safety guidelines 



Qualifications & Skills
 


  • Excellent customer service and communication skills 

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling transactions 

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment 

  • Basic computer skills; prior ticketing or point-of-sale experience a plus 

  • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented 

  • Must be at least 18 years old  



Schedule & Availability
 


  • Must be available to work game days, evenings, weekends, and Holidays  

  • Hours vary based on home game schedule and special events 



Physical Requirements
 


  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods 

  • Ability to lift light items as needed 


 

Seasonal Duration 


  • Position runs for the duration of the Baysox baseball season (Sept. 2026), with potential opportunities for future seasons



 


 


Additional Information


Attain Partners, the owner of the Chesapeake Baysox, is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The individual hourly rate for this position is $15.
