SEASONAL GARDEN CENTER CARRYOUT

Description

JOB SUMMARY

To assist in garden center and store warehouse functions. To provide the best possible shopping experience and excellent customer service. Assumes other related duties as determined by the Management Team.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or certification.
• Must be able to work weekends and have a flexible work schedule. 
• Must be organized and able to prioritize work. 
• Good aptitude in working with numbers is helpful.

Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIIES

• Assist customers with merchandise
• Organize and rotate stock.
• Provide customer service and assistance to store patrons.
• Assist Garden Center cashiers when needed.
• Perform plant maintenance and watering.
• Moves freight in order to facilitate inventory turnover.
• Assist customers with the loading of product and vehicles. 
• Ability to use a pallet jack/forklift when applicable (certification is provided)
• Assist E-commerce team with the pulling and staging of both in store pickups and delivery orders. 
• Assume other duties as assigned by store manager or supervisors.
• Help maintain a safe work environment for both customers and employees
• Must be organized and able to prioritize work. Good aptitude in working with numbers is helpful.
• Work safely and efficiently to provide excellent customer service.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Frequently lift and/or move items that weigh up to 70 lbs. 
• Requires standing and/or walking for long periods of time on hard surfaces.
• Requires ability to bend and stoop throughout the day.
• Requires ability to use arms and shoulders to lift and reach overhead, mid-level and low-level.
• Requires ability to climb stairs and stepladders up to 8 feet.
• Requires ability to work indoors and outdoors for various periods of time.

WORKING RELATIONSHIP

Must be able to work closely with all store personnel, Store Manager and Company President.
